CA Foundation is the entry, the gateway to the CA Course. 
You can appear for the CA Foundation immediately after Class XIIth exams. 
The Foundation exam takes place twice a year, in May and in Nov, 2nd week.

Typically students study for 4-5 months for their CA Foundation exam. 
Students who wish to appear in it just after their class XIIth in general need to pick it up right after their board exams, for better preparation.
Some students feel the need to postpone their attempt to November, but we at SSCA have tailored our structure in such a way that the student is able to manage their paper right after their board exams as well.

CA Foundation course borrows a lot from class XI and XIIth commerce subjects.
It consists of 4 papers- 

  • Paper-1: Principles and Practice of Accounting

  • Paper-2: Business Laws and Business Correspondence and Reporting

  • Paper-3: Business Mathematics, Logical Reasoning and Statistics

  • Paper-4: Business Economics and Business and Commercial Knowledge

Law is basically entirely new for the students, the rest of the subjects are easily manageable by the students.
That being said, two papers have been made subjective and hence, the paper is not as easy as some may perceive and it needs dedicated effort and practice and guidance.
