CA Foundation

We operate Straight Shot CA out of Sushant Lok 1. We keep our batches strictly limited to 20 or 30 students.

Best CA Foundation Coaching in Gurgaon

That specific size allows us to provide actual mentorship rather than just lecturing to a crowded room. Currently, our internal pass rate stands at roughly 60%. We hit that number because we rely heavily on continuous mock tests. Finding reliable CA Foundation coaching in Gurgaon requires finding a center that actually tracks your daily errors. We focus on fixing your mistakes long before you sit in front of the ICAI invigilators.

What Exactly Is the CA Foundation Course?

This is the entry-level examination administered by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). It acts as your first hurdle toward becoming a CA. You build your technical foundation here. Many students walk into our center expecting the curriculum to feel just like their Class 12th board exams. It does not. The volume of material and the strictness of the examiners demand a completely different approach to your daily studies. In school, teachers reward effort. ICAI examiners only reward accuracy. If your balance sheet does not tally, you lose marks.

Who Can Register for the Exams?

You can register right after finishing your Class 12th board exams. Students from any educational stream can apply. You do not strictly need a commerce background to start. The institute allows students from science and arts to transition into chartered accountancy through this entry point.

How Often Are the Exams Held?

ICAI conducts the foundation exams three times a year. You have the option to attempt the papers in January, May/June, or September. This schedule gives you some flexibility in deciding when you are fully prepared. You do not have to rush an attempt if your mock scores are low.

What Is the CA Foundation New Scheme Syllabus?

ICAI updated the curriculum recently. We align our entire teaching structure with the CA Foundation new scheme to ensure you study exactly what the current examiners test. You do not want to waste time on outdated materials. The course breaks down into four main papers.

Paper NumberSubject NameTotal MarksFormat Type
Paper 1Accounting100Subjective
Paper 2Business Laws100Subjective
Paper 3Quantitative Aptitude100Objective/MCQ (-0.25 negative)
Paper 4Business Economics100Objective/MCQ (-0.25 negative)

⚠️ Warning: This examination is not 100% MCQ. Only Paper 3 and Paper 4 use the objective format. Papers 1 and 2 require long written answers where you must show your working.

A Closer Look at the Four Papers

The syllabus requires a different strategy for every single subject.

Accounting

This paper tests your ability to prepare financial statements from scratch. Students frequently mess up their bank reconciliation statements because they rush the opening balances. You have to write down your calculations clearly. Step marks often save candidates from failing. We review your ledgers line by line.

Business Laws

You cannot write a contract law answer using everyday language. The examiner looks for specific provisions from the Indian Contract Act. We spend weeks showing you how to format a legal answer. We teach you how to state the provision, apply it to the case study, and write a clear conclusion.

Quantitative Aptitude

Speed dictates everything here. You have minimal time to solve mathematics and logical reasoning problems. Our CA Foundation classes Gurgaon force you to learn and use calculator shortcuts. If you try to solve these equations the long way, you will run out of time.

Business Economics

The objective format lets examiners test highly specific micro and macro concepts. You have to know the graphs and economic theories thoroughly.

How Does the ICAI Calculate Passing Marks?

Clearing this level requires you to hit two specific targets at the same time. You need a minimum of 40% in each individual paper. Simultaneously, your total aggregate score must reach 50% across all four papers. Failing to meet just one of these conditions means you fail the entire attempt. You can score 70 in three papers, but if you score a 39 in Business Laws, you have to retake everything.

How Do the Fees Work?

You will face two separate costs during your preparation. You pay the main registration fee directly to the ICAI. You need to check icai.org for their exact current charges. You then pay our tuition fee for the CA Foundation coaching in Gurgaon. We sit down and outline our payment schedules when you visit our Sushant Lok 1 center.

What Happens During Our Mock Tests?

We do not just hand you a test paper and walk away. We sit down and analyze exactly where you lost marks. Did you misread a requirement in a law question? Did you spend twenty minutes on a single math problem? We identify these habits early.
